Recent Projects of LC Wadduwa 2015
On July 18, 2015 Donated a Wheelchair to Mark the Arrival of District Governor. The occasion was to welcome District Governor on his return after swearing-in, to our Region, organized by the Region Chairperson, Lion R W M Podinilame. A Bodhi Pooja at Mahavihara Temple, Wadduwa to invoke blessings for a successful year was the main program. The donation to a deserving destitute was the Club's share to mark the occasion
Snack & Tea for Recipients of Govt. Allowance for Poor at Wadduwa Post Office
Over 75 elders and disabled in Wadduwa receive Govt grants to Poor, which are paid monthly thru respective Post Offices. They arrive early morning to collect the money after 9.00 am when the counter opens and purchase medicine, food, pay bills etc., before returning home for late breakfast. Club, in consideration of their plight, has been treating them for over 20 years with a snack & tea with consent and to appreciation of Postal authorities, while they wait in queue for their turn to be paid. Project is carried out on 1st working day of each month.

Treat & Entertainment for 78 Elders
On 15-08-2015, 78 elderly persons from different locations in the area were provided with opportunity for day-long entertainment. Collected by prior arrangement and brought to residence of Club President, Personal services (per below details), Religious Sermon, meals, refreshments, clothing, Music instruments, 2 busses for travel etc provided by Club. Dhamma Sermon, Haircuts & Shaving for 64 Males, Bathing them with personal attention, Donation of Sarongs for males & Chintz clothes for females, Preferred liquor for some males, Breakfast & Lunch, Dry Rations, Providing Catering & Music Instruments (Sinks & Thabla, Serpina, Bongos, Dolky, Speakers Microphones etc.) Transport to & from appointed points in Kalutara, Wadduwa & Panadura in 2 hired busses.
